Case Goods
This category of beautiful and functional furniture helps us organize our lives. Free standing bookcases for home or office, a low profile what-not display, a blanket chest of warm cherry, or a specialty storage for wine or spirits, each fills a particular need. Perhaps the most unusual of the pieces shown here is the cellarette, made popular in Europe in the Fifteenth Century, and in America from the Eighteenth through the Nineteenth Centuries, these liquor cabinets feature all hand cut dovetail joinery, breadboard mixing shelf, and a supply drawer, perched on a Federalist period, tapered leg base. This piece provides a good example of stringing and banding on the tapered legs, a beautiful and classy feature that be added to certain other furniture pieces.
